Rules For Admins Bottom Of Page

The sole purpose of the GNE Public Non Stop Play Server existence is for people to have FUN. It's a place to get away from the hassles of Real Life for a couple hours, and to run around like madmen (and women!) shooting it out with some online buds. Everyone is welcome, so long as they understand and practice this. Don't worry, we in GNE are not a bunch of egomaniacal freaks on a power trip, we don't go around messing with people just because we can. On the other hand, there are certain things that really irk us (and certain things that don't), and it's only fair that you know what those things are. So, while you are a guest on our server:

0.  Please Read Rules Below Or Get Punished In This fasion When You Break One Of Them

1.You Will Receive A Warning Pointing To Rule Whatever
2.You Will Be Punished Maybe Slap Explode Ect
3.You Will Be Kicked From Server
4.You Will Be Banned For 1 Week
5.You Will Have A Permanent Ban

THINGS THAT WILL GET YOU KICKED

• 1. CHEATING: Well duh - if you're really such a dolt that you have to stoop to cheating at an online game, there's not much we can do to help you. Put down the keyboard and go find yourself a good therapist. In the meantime, don't play on here. If we Spectate you (either because we receive complaints from other players, or because your score looks suspicious) and don't like what we see, you're gone. There is no appeals process, and no trial - if it looks like cheating to us, you get the boot. Sorry if this seems unfair and subjective - it is. It's also the only way I know of to keep cheaters off our server.

  1A-Cheaters will be dealt with in a system please do not point out the cheater if you are so inclined to point out a cheater use the tell command to quietly talk to the admin in charge at the time

  1.B Cheaters will have to go through the system of all of our anticheat software and logs then down to a video or screenshot people who have all screenshots blocked will be warned then deemed a cheater.

  1.C Cheaters / People who pass all of the Cheat test above will be able to play on our server.

  1.D Banned cheaters I may unban cheaters caught by demos unless we have enough evidence all other bans are permanent and will not be removed.The Reason for This is Video is not 100% accurate and at this point they already passed a system that is more strict then clan leagues which play for money.I must give them the benefit of the doubt

  1.E Game Glitches Most game glitches cannot be accesssed and it's fine to test it if nobody is in the server but during game play please do not do this or you will be warned

   

• 2. IMPERSONATING GNE: I used to think this was common sense, but apparently I was wrong - IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THE GNE CLAN, DO NOT WEAR AN GNE TAG. Even worse, DO NOT PRETEND TO BE AN EXISTING GNE MEMBER. Doing either one of these things will get you banned, quickly.

   

• 3. INCORRECT RATE: There is a setting in Soldier of Fortune 2 related to your computer's connection speed; it is under Options -> Network Settings -> Rate. The available options for Rate are Modem 33.6K, Modem 56K, Single ISDN, Dual ISDN, DSL, Cable, T1, and LAN - it is important that you set this correctly, otherwise you may be causing problems for other players. Admin can check the Rate of any player on the server, and if he notices that your Rate is set incorrectly he will ask you to change it. If you do not, he will ask you to leave until your Rate is corrected (and if you don't leave voluntarily, then he will Kick you). It's a simple thing to do, it will smoothen out your gameplay, and it will help prevent lag issues for everyone else. For a little more info, click here or here. Note: This is no longer as big an issue as it used to be, because the RocMod we use thankfully added a way to keep Rates below a certain threshold from joining the server.

   

• 4. EXCESSIVE WHINING: Nobody likes getting killed, and there's no doubt we've all taken a hit and thought to ourselves "There is no WAY that dude just hit me!" If you honestly, truly, legitimately think someone may be cheating, by all means let us know - if we're currently playing and have the time, we will Spectate them; if not, drop an email to shadow5788@gmail.com with the person's name and he'll keep an eye out for them. This is very much encouraged, and won't irritate us at all. What will irritate us is EXCESSIVE WHINING, bitching after every shot and accusing every player above you on the scoreboard. This will be a shock to some of you, but it is possible some players are just better than you, and better than us. We've watched some players who we know for a fact were not cheating, and it was like watching Chow Yun Fat in a John Woo movie. No matter how good we think we are, there will always be someone, somewhere who's better. and we have the best anticheat system around so don't like it find somewhere better see if they have the anticheat devices we have.

  4A- Please Limit the Comments Like Cheater, OMFG, WTF, Spawn Killer, Camper , Spawn camper , Cheaters will be dealt with in a whole separate system detailed in the LOS section. nobody else needs to hear your feelings and to much is WHINING. You will know what is to much when a admin or player mentions this to you .don't take it to heart they are just abiding by the rules as you should to. Just take a second step back and imagine 16 players repeating omfg, wtf and camper. I will deal with these issues using the power of the server examples anticamping, antispawn killing,

  5B Voting For A Change using the vote system. Yes you can vote and everyone can see it so please do not repeat f1 over and over or say comments to much like dm suck ect.

   

• 6.BEING AN ASS: This covers pretty much everything else. As noted, GNE was created to be a fun place, so if you're making the game less fun for the other players, you've gotta go. Be nice to folks and they'll usually be nice to you. Trash talking is fine (hell, it's encouraged), so long as it's good-natured and fun. "Bastard, you got me again!" is fine, "Fuck you nigger/bitch/faggot" is most assuredly NOT. It's all about attitude.
• 6A Voice commands are fun but please do not abuse you can     respond to a nice shot or say nice shot or thanks as often as you like if as long as something like a kill happened, other commands please use with reasonable limits after 7 in one minute your players sounds will be muted by the server. you can test this out once for your self but please do not do it often as this constitutes abuse and measures will be taken accordingly.
• 6B-Rude Comments to others- please do not argue or be rude to other players. everyone be polite and most likely they will be polite in return. Yes fun Is fun don't go to far

THINGS WE HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH

• The MM1 AND RPG7: Okay look, it is true these two weapons are uber-powerful compared to the rest - but so what? They're fun to use, and they're part of the game. As REXDOG is fond of saying, do you play chess without the Queen because she's too powerful? Of course not - these weapons have their place and they make a nice change of pace, so every once in a while in the map cycle the MM1 and RPG7 are turned on. It's never for more than a single map, so if you really can't stand it, go grab yourself a drink or take a pee break until the map is over. These Weapons Have low Ammo Real Low

   

• CAMPING / SNIPING: Again, these are just part of the game. As REXDOG is also fond of saying, the military term for 'camping bitch' is 'entrenched sniper'. If you've found yourself a little hidey-hole and a good weapon, feel free to plant yourself there until somebody can un-plant you. You have our blessing. Be careful you only have 20 seconds before a warning a 10 seconds before you die

   

• TYPEKILLING: Most of us like chatting with folks as the game goes on, and so occasionally we get shot while just standing there because we're typing. So what! If you don't want to get killed while you're typing, then don't type. It's your choice to take a few seconds out of the game to chat, just like it's any other players' choice to blow your head off or not if you're just standing there picking your nose.

• Nades Fire frag and all others can be used at will they are givin at a minimum and yes you can use them in ctf for tactical purposes.Remember the playing field is fair and what any other player can do you can also do.

NO Talking Recruiting For Other Clans Here Or You Will Be Banned after Only One warning if Your lucky

•  3.Admins Must respect the decision of a higher admin he can always dispute this at a latter time one-one.
•  4. admins must only punish based on the rules in the rules section the section can be revised for any future problems we may inquire all admins input is welcomed and issue that cannot be resolved will come to a forum vote then to me for a final decision
•  5.please no sarcasm or rude remarks to any players / admins a rude remark can be noted when another player says that was sarcasm/rude I understand fooling around but don't take it to far.
• 6. Please Use This System Below For Dealing With Offenders

• 7..No Abuse Of Your higher Admin Status Over Lower Player/Admin abuse is defined by something not in the rules if you need something added please contact me and we can talk about it.
• 8. When admins want to shuffle the teams they must make sure their is at least 6 real players and must then kick all bots before evening or shuffling the teams this will insure that the bots do not get confused.
• 9.When admins want to change a map they must notify people like this before doing so. example: Next game I am changing the map to kamjordan 2 you can download this map at the site if interested

• Ranking System GNE REXDOG And GNE LAZ  1 And 2

  my hopes our that we can all be mature polite and have fun this way the rules above will never need to come in to play and SOF2 can be played at GNE the way it was intended to be played
